About the role
ArniSun publishes practical guides on beauty, hair care and skincare. We are looking for a content editor and proofreader to be the last pair of eyes on every article before it is published.
You will make sure that our articles are accurate, easy to read, consistent with house style and complete, with correct metadata and working links. You will work closely with our writers and with the SEO specialist.

Responsibilities
- Edit articles for structure, clarity, grammar, spelling and tone.
- Check factual claims against the sources supplied, and return articles that make unsupported or exaggerated claims.
- Confirm that each article answers a distinct question, and does not duplicate another.
- Check titles, meta titles, meta descriptions, slugs, keywords and image alt text against our guidelines.
- Verify internal and external links.
- Give writers clear, constructive feedback.
- Maintain the ArniSun style guide, and a log of corrections and updates.
- Plan periodic reviews of published content.
Qualifications
- Experience of editing or proofreading web content, ideally in beauty, health or lifestyle.
- Excellent command of English grammar and usage.
- A sharp eye for detail and consistency.
- Experience of fact-checking, and of judging the reliability of sources.
- An understanding of on-page SEO and metadata.
- Tact in giving feedback, and reliability in meeting publishing deadlines.
