About the role
ArniSun publishes practical guides on beauty, hair care and skincare. We are looking for a beauty product photographer to create original images for our articles and guides: products, textures, swatches and the steps of a routine.
Accuracy matters as much as beauty. Colors must be true to life, and images must not exaggerate what a product does.

Responsibilities
- Photograph products, textures and swatches from written image briefs.
- Produce step-by-step images for tutorials on makeup, nails, hair and skincare.
- Light and color-manage images so that shades are accurate across skin tones.
- Retouch lightly and honestly. Skin texture and product results are not to be altered misleadingly.
- Deliver web-ready files in the agreed sizes and formats, with descriptive file names.
- Arrange model releases and permissions where people or private property appear.
- Keep an organized archive of original files.
- Suggest alt text notes describing each final image.
Qualifications
- A portfolio of product, still life or beauty photography.
- Your own camera, lenses and lighting equipment, and a suitable space in which to shoot.
- Strong skills in lighting, color accuracy and retouching software.
- Experience of photographing reflective and transparent packaging.
- An understanding of copyright, licensing and model releases.
- Reliability with deadlines and shipping, if products are sent to you.
