About the role
ArniSun offers free tools alongside its articles: quizzes, calculators, planners and trackers for skincare, hair care, makeup and nails. We are looking for a developer to build new tools and to improve the existing ones.
Each tool has a written specification: its inputs, its method, its validation rules, a worked example and its limits. You will turn that specification into a tool that is accurate, accessible and honest about what it can tell a user.

Responsibilities
- Build interactive tools from written specifications, using PHP for server-side logic and HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript in the browser.
- Implement calculation, matching, scheduling and tracking logic exactly as documented.
- Validate every input on the server, and show clear, specific error messages.
- Make each tool work with a keyboard and a screen reader, and on small screens.
- Store personal tracking data in the visitor's own browser where a tool needs to remember it, and explain that clearly on the page.
- Write test cases for each tool, including edge cases and the worked example.
- Keep the method description and the limitations on each tool page in step with the code.
- Work with the UI/UX designer and the content team on wording and layout.
Qualifications
- Experience of building form-based web tools or small web applications.
- Strong PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JavaScript skills.
- Care with numerical accuracy, units, rounding and date handling.
- A good understanding of input validation, output escaping and privacy.
- Knowledge of accessible form design.
- The habit of writing tests and documentation.
