About the role
ArniSun publishes practical guides on beauty, hair care and skincare, with free tools such as quizzes, planners and calculators. We are looking for a UI/UX designer to make the site easier to read, to navigate and to use on every screen size.
You will work on article templates, category pages and the interfaces of our interactive tools, with accessibility and speed in mind from the first sketch.

Responsibilities
- Review the current website, and identify problems in navigation, readability and task flow.
- Design wireframes, prototypes and final layouts for pages and tools.
- Design forms with clear labels, helpful error messages and sensible defaults.
- Apply accessibility standards, including color contrast, keyboard use, focus states and touch target sizes.
- Design for phones first, and check layouts at tablet and desktop widths.
- Plan and run simple usability tests, and report what you learn.
- Prepare clear specifications for the developers.
- Maintain a small, consistent design system.
Qualifications
- A portfolio showing UX process and finished interface designs for websites or web applications.
- Experience with a current interface design and prototyping tool.
- Sound knowledge of web accessibility guidelines.
- An understanding of HTML and CSS, enough to design what can be built simply and quickly.
- Experience of responsive design.
- Clear written communication, for specifications and findings.
