ArniSun publishes practical guides and free tools on beauty, hair care and skincare. We are looking for a website maintenance specialist to keep the site running smoothly day to day.
You will look after the routine technical work that readers never see: updates, backups, monitoring, scheduled jobs and quick fixes. When something goes wrong, you will be the first to notice and the first to respond.

Responsibilities
- Monitor uptime, error logs, scheduled jobs and email delivery, and act on problems.
- Apply server, PHP and application updates on a tested schedule.
- Run and verify backups, and carry out regular restore tests.
- Review security logs, manage access accounts and respond to incidents.
- Check page speed, caching and image delivery, and fix regressions.
- Maintain redirects, sitemaps and robots rules, with the SEO specialist.
- Fix small bugs and layout issues, and pass larger work to the web developer.
- Keep maintenance documentation and a change log up to date.
Qualifications
- Experience of maintaining PHP and MySQL websites on Apache.
- Confidence with hosting control panels, the command line, scheduled jobs and file permissions.
- An understanding of backups, restores and disaster recovery.
- Good knowledge of web security practice, including TLS certificates and security headers.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for small fixes.
- A calm, methodical approach to incidents, and clear communication.
- Willingness to agree in advance how urgent problems outside working hours are handled.
