Responsibilities

Understanding and analyzing software requirements.
Assisting in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Documenting test results and reporting issues to developers.
Performing manual testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Assisting in automation testing using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Running regression tests to ensure stability after updates.
Identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello.
Working closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
Assisting in performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
Understanding security testing basics and reporting vulnerabilities.
Working with development teams to understand software functionalities.
Learning about agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
Participating in team meetings, test reviews, and feedback sessions.

Requirements

Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of software development and testing concepts.
Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, or C# is a plus).
Familiarity with database queries (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
Basic knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman).
Exposure to version control tools like Git/GitHub.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to pay attention to detail and follow testing procedures.
