Responsibilities

Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented Go code for backend services and applications.
Writing unit tests for Go applications, debugging, and optimizing existing code to improve performance and fix bugs.
Working with senior developers, software engineers, and product teams to develop new features and improve existing ones.
Assisting in developing RESTful APIs, integrating external services, and handling requests and responses using Go.
Writing Go code to interact with databases (SQL or NoSQL), performing CRUD operations, and optimizing database queries.
Using Git for version control, contributing to the codebase, and collaborating on pull requests.
Participating in code reviews to ensure the code meets best practices and project requirements.
Creating technical documentation and commenting on code for easier understanding by other developers.

Requirements

Enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program (undergraduate or recent graduate).
Understanding of the Go language, its syntax, and best practices for writing efficient and maintainable code.
Experience or understanding of working with relational (SQL) and/or non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
Proficiency with Git and GitHub for collaborative coding and version control.
Familiarity with web technologies such as REST APIs, HTTP, and JSON.
Ability to analyze problems and come up with efficient solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Skills

Proficiency in Go, understanding its core libraries, concurrency, and its applications in backend systems.
Understanding of API architecture and experience in creating and consuming REST APIs.
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), querying, and designing schemas.
Familiarity with OOP principles and how they can be applied in Go.
Understanding Go?? concurrency model using Goroutines and Channels.
Familiarity with Go?? testing libraries, such as testing and GoMock for unit testing.
Basic knowledge of containerization using Docker and deploying Go applications in containers.
Strong analytical and debugging skills to address issues efficiently.
Comfort working in a Linux/Unix environment for development and deployment.
Understanding of agile methodologies and collaboration in iterative development processes.
